Procrastinator

Pencil drawing
This illustration was done for use in the Canadian Workshop Magazine. It was to enhance an article on D.I.Y. procrastinators. As you can see, the fellow in the illustration has many partly done projects around him. There is even a job jar filled with things to do. I had the joy of interpreting the assignment whatever way I wanted. It was drawn totally out of my head and was a blast to do. It lead to other works for the magazine.

The Seasons

Keith Moreau
“The Seasons”
Scratchboard

This piece entitled “The Seasons” was created in scratch board on a full sheet from a still life that I set up in my home studio. The items in the still life represent the individual seasons. I achieved the background by scratching most of it away and coming back in with brush and India ink and quickly created random strokes which left wispy light areas for the background. Note that the cast shadows on the surface are untouched by the scratch tool.
For years, I have taught many youth, teens and adults this art of white line drawing.
Accepted in 1997 Arts Etobicoke Juried Show.
