Duet

D. Scott Taylor
“Duet”
Edition of 900 (from watercolour)
13.25″ x 13.25″
$60

D. Scott Taylor is a self-taught watercolour artist and has been painting professionally for over 20 years, beginning with numerous commissions of aircraft, homes, cars and people. Scott’s attention to detail and his ‘high realism’ style have been his bench-mark over the years, while at the same time, he attempts to find subject matter which is both pleasing to the eye and to the heart.

As you can see on his  website  under the Hockey Art category, Scott can now completely customize your painting. He hand-paints the different names, numbers, jerseys, helmet colour, & even hair colour to match your favorite hockey player. This ability has been met with considerable enthusiasm amongst those searching for the perfect gift!

Scott lives in Brampton, Ontario with his wife and four children (all of whom can be found in his paintings…. including Scott!)

Morning Haze

Lu Robitaille
“Morning Haze”
10″ x 10″
Print (unframed)
$145

Lu Robitaille was born in historic Penetanguishene. She and her husband raised their two children in the remoteness of Tadenac Bay, later settling in Huronia.

Lu has a home studio on Cedar Brook Farm, her family fish farm. Her deep feelings for Georgian Bay live in the art she creates; her rocks and water reflect the love and warmth she has for this unique part of Canada. She has a great affection for the character of old farms and lighthouses. Lu has developed a new style and format based on watercolour for her medium. For more information, or to arrange a private viewing of her work, Lu invites you and your family to contact her.

Reflections

Brian J. Michon
“Reflections”
30″ x 60″
Oil painting

“Spent a few years on this painting, most of which it just sat there without me working on it. It’s called Reflection and is pretty much self explanatory (I think). I guess it’s quite personal and something I had to go through at a young age to get to where I am now. It’s not so much a religious painting, instead I use the imagery to portray an inner faith compelling me to do the right things, at least in this case. I assume it’s an ongoing issue we all go through regardless of the subject matter.”

Brian is from Geraldton, Ontario.

Spirit of the Dance #5

Brian J. Michon
“Spirit of the Dance #5″
Acrylic on canvas
24″ x 36”
“Here is another painting in my Spirit of Dance series (number 5) in which I attempt to employ a very loose and quickly executed approach. The primal feel taken by the dancers, is hopefully what I convey in my work when attempting to portray the nobility and courage of the dancers.”
Brian is from Geraldton, Ontario.
